Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our surgical team in a prestigious teaching hospital located in San Francisco, CA (zip code 94143). This is a travel nursing assignment offering exposure to high-acuity cases across diverse specialties. The ideal candidate is a confident clinical leader, adept at both scrub and circulate roles, and capable of serving as Charge RN as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• License: Active California RN License (Required)

• Certifications:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)

  • ACLS (Preferred)

  • CNOR (Preferred)

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years RN experience

  • Minimum 3 years Operating Room (OR) experience (Required)

  • Travel nursing experience (Required)

  • Previous Charge RN experience (Required)

  • Experience in a teaching hospital (Required)

• Charting System: Epic (Required)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulate duties across a wide range of specialties

• Serve as Charge RN during designated shifts, providing leadership and coordination

• Ensure compliance with infection control, radiation and laser safety, and emergency protocols

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic

• Provide one-to-one patient care during surgical procedures

• Utilize specialized equipment: Da Vinci Si/Xi robotics, electrosurgical units, Steris systems, and Cell Savers

• Safely handle specimens and administer blood products as required
