    Job Summary:

    Receiving clerk will be first point of contact for all inbound deliveries and customer pickups at the lumberyard. Position will enter all inbound deliveries into the system in an accurate and timely fashion. Will collect customer pickup orders and coordinate with receiving supervisor to get them pulled, staged and ready to be loaded in a timely manner. Will be responsible for making sure all non- COD customer pickup orders are invoiced the same day they are picked up. Also, ensure COD orders have been paid before orders are pulled and staged. Will enter receiving KPIs in spreadsheet and assist supervisor with tracking and monitoring performance.

    Responsibilities and Skills:

    · Greet customers and give them courteous and professional service.

    · Monitor daily customer pickup orders and communicate workload to receiving supervisor.

    · Monitor gate access to lumberyard for non-employee entry.

    · Receive systematically all purchase orders associated with new deliveries for lumberyard and millwork.

    • Communicate all discrepancies to purchases team.

    · Excellent communication skills (communicate all shortages, overages, damages, etc. to the purchasing team.

    · Attention to detail is a must. Receipt of all new inventory must be accurate as it impacts overall inventory accuracy.

    · Enter all receiving related KPIs into appropriate spreadsheets

    · Keep all purchase orders and customer order paperwork filed and organized at all times.

    Education:

    · High School Diploma

    Experience:

    · Prefer 6 months experience in a comparable role

    · Lumber and building material familiarity

    • Knowledge of Excel
