JOB OVERVIEW
This role ensures the church campus remains safe, functional, and well-maintained through skilled care of building systems, security procedures, and facility operations.
SPECIFIC DUTIES: Building Systems & Facility Maintenance
Design systems for routine and preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and groundskeeping.
Diagnose issues and complete building repairs that leverage volunteers first and vendors second
Maintain documentation for service logs, equipment warranties, and repair records
Manage facility inventory and oversee supply needs for ongoing maintenance tasks
Mobilize and train volunteer teams to support maintenance efforts with clear expectations and a high standard of care
Participate in facility improvement projects and long-term system planning
Security & Safety Systems
Oversee access control systems including key distribution, fob programming, and door schedules
Maintain fire safety systems including alarms, extinguishers, signage, and emergency exits
Monitor campus for safety issues and proactively address risks or hazards
Empower and support CRT volunteers to implement safety protocols with excellence and consistency
Coordinate with safety vendors and law enforcement as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Vocational certification or apprenticeship training in mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, or electrical) preferred

3 to 5 years of experience in building maintenance, trades, or technical facility roles
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems
Comfortable using tools, ladders, lifts, and working at heights or in tight spaces
Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and complete hands-on tasks throughout the week

Available to work weekends and evenings as needed
Experience leading volunteers or equipping others is a plus
