    Puentes de Salud is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that promotes the health and wellness of South Philadelphia’s rapidly growing Latine immigrant population through high-quality health care, innovative educational programs, and community building. The foundation of Puentes de Salud rests on the belief that community health is not the sole domain of health care providers. Health and wellness result from a collaborative, multidisciplinary effort that focuses on addressing the conditions in which we grow, learn, live, work and age.

    The Operations Coordinator is an important role responsible for all aspects of administrative support across all divisions and volunteer recruitment for the Education division of Puentes de Salud. This is a full-time contracted position up to 40 hours a week. This position works closely with and reports to the Executive Director.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Actively recruits volunteers for the Education division of Puentes relative to semester needs.

    Coordinates, schedules, and prepares materials for volunteer interviews.

    Communicates with potential volunteers and potential university/college partners while ensuring receipt of clearances and other compliance-mandated documents.

    Ensuring all compliance-related documents are uploaded into the Puentes App and regularly updated

    Provides initial onboarding to volunteers through training and documentation.

    Works closely with Education program supervisors and supports in any programming when needed

    Assists with data management, research for lesson planning, education program organization, and resource management

    Participates in education meetings and on-site events as needed.

    Operational support across the Medical clinic, Wellness program, and Education team, and alongside the Executive Director

    Weekly administrative support through record keeping, donation receipts, creating flyers, monitoring, ordering of supplies, and printing of documents across departments

    Performs other duties in accordance with Puentes entity values, policies, and procedures

    Required Qualifications

    Three years of commensurate experience in a coordinator or administrative position is required. This individual must be able to exude leadership and work with ease both independently and as part of a team. Experience with refugee or immigrant populations is strongly desired. Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

    The Operations Coordinator is expected to demonstrate a high level of competence as a customer service professional and comfort with technology. Google and Microsoft Office proficiency is required. Must be self-directed and work independently.
