Position Summary:
The Operations Execution Manager is a pivotal leadership role accountable for driving the successful execution of manufacturing operations from startup through sustained production. During the startup phase, this role leads key project activities including facility buildout, layout planning, equipment implementation, and operational readiness. Once operational, the role oversees daily execution on the floor and manages the core functions of production engineering, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the plant delivers on safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead facility layout design and implementation of manufacturing systems during plant startup.
· Coordinate project planning activities for equipment setup, infrastructure, and production readiness.
· Oversee daily manufacturing floor execution, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality compliance.
· Manage and develop the engineering, quality, and CI teams to support ongoing operations and improvement.
· Drive cross-functional coordination to deliver on production goals and resolve floor-level issues quickly.
· Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing principles and visual management systems.
· Collaborate with leadership to identify capital investment needs and strategic improvement projects.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, internal controls, and audit readiness for operations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field required.
· 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
· Proven experience leading facility startups or major expansion projects.
· Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and best practices in quality systems and production flow.
· Excellent problem-solving, cross-functional leadership, and communication skills.
· Experience working in capital equipment, machinery, or related industries preferred.
