INTERNSHIP SUMMARY:
This internship aims to enhance the candidate's management skills by assisting with existing operations and supporting new business initiatives within the Soils and Dredge Management division.
The Operations Intern will collaborate with the Clean Earth of Carteret’s management team and other internal departments and cross functional teams. Responsibilities will vary based on workload, with a primary focus on process improvement in the facility’s Material Sorting and Aggregate production and marketing operations. The work may include, but not be limited to, equipment and processing system research, field observations, data analysis, generating reports and presentations, and assisting with site-wide operations. This role provides hands-on training focused on jaw crusher, cone crusher, material flow, screening systems, and production optimization.
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:
MPS (Manual Picking Station) : The manual picking station is a key component of the Clean Earth of Carteret operation. It is crucial for optimizing recycling options for contaminated soil products and for achieving marketable recycled aggregate product. Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Aggregate: Clean Earth Carteret (CEC) makes recycled aggregate products for sale. Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Research current NJDOT specifications required for approval of the recycled aggregate.
Research the market for potential buyers, contractors and developers.
Create Sales template emails, quotes and spreadsheets to track production and sale.
Attend meetings related to sales, marketing and production.
Assist with other projects as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Ideal candidate would be a college junior or senior who is actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an engineering, environmental science, or business field of study.
