    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Operations Leader – Spray Foam Sprayer / Technician Lead to join our team. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise in spray foam application with operational management and customer service responsibilities. The ideal candidate will lead a small crew, manage the spray foam rig and equipment, ensure high-quality installations, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This position is perfect for a skilled spray foam technician ready to step into a leadership role while continuing to perform field work.

    Key Responsibilities

    Technical & Field Leadership

    Lead spray foam insulation projects from start to finish, including preparation, application, and cleanup

    Perform high-quality open-cell and closed-cell spray foam installations according to manufacturer specifications and job requirements

    Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot spray foam rigs, proportioners, hoses, guns, and all related equipment

    Manage daily rig setup, material loading, inventory tracking, and secure transport

    Ensure proper safety protocols, PPE usage, and job site cleanliness at all times

    Train and mentor junior technicians on proper spray techniques, equipment handling, and safety standards

    Operations & Rig Management

    Oversee daily operations of the spray foam division, including scheduling, job planning, and resource allocation

    Maintain accurate records of material usage, job logs, and equipment maintenance

    Perform routine preventive maintenance on the spray foam rig and equipment to minimize downtime

    Monitor and manage inventory of spray foam chemicals, parts, and supplies

    Identify and resolve operational challenges to improve efficiency and productivity

    Manage and balance labor resources between prep, clean up and blow in insulation jobs

    Customer Service & Quality Control

    Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on the job site

    Communicate clearly with homeowners, builders, and project managers regarding project scope, timeline, and expectations

    Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards and customer satisfaction

    Address customer questions and concerns professionally and promptly

    Conduct post-job walkthroughs and follow-up to guarantee complete customer satisfaction

    Qualifications & Requirements

    2–4 years of hands-on experience as a spray foam sprayer/technician

    OSHA 10 Certified

    SPFA Spray Foam Certifications

    Proven ability to lead small crews and manage spray foam operations

    Strong working knowledge of both open-cell and closed-cell spray foam systems

    Experience operating and maintaining Graco, Gusmer, or equivalent spray foam proportioners and rigs

    Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required)

    Ability to pass background check and drug screening

    Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

    Excellent physical condition – able to work in confined spaces, on ladders/scaffolding, and in various weather conditions

    Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

    Preferred Skills

    Prior leadership or crew lead experience

    Basic knowledge of building science and insulation best practices

    Experience with job costing, material estimating, and inventory management

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Ability to read blueprints and understand job specifications
