    Position Overview Mission One is seeking a highly organized and mission-focused Logistics Specialist to plan, coordinate, and execute logistics operations supporting client objectives. The Logistics Specialist will ensure the timely, secure, and compliant movement, storage, inventory management, and disposition of equipment, materials, and supplies while adhering to applicable regulations, safety standards, and operational requirements. This position requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, mission partners, key personnel, and program leadership to support dynamic operational environments, often under short-notice timelines.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Logistics Specialist will:

    Plan, coordinate, and execute logistics operations to ensure the timely, secure, and efficient delivery of equipment, materials, and supplies.

    Handle, transport, and manage sensitive foreign materials, equipment, and samples, including items that may contain hazardous materials and/or inert ordnance, in accordance with established safety and regulatory requirements.

    Coordinate and communicate logistics requirements with internal and external mission partners, logistics personnel, and warehouse staff.

    Provide procurement recommendations and support acquisition activities to ensure operational readiness and mission success.

    Prepare, organize, package, and ship technical equipment and materials in support of operational requirements, frequently under short-notice timelines.

    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery, deployment, recovery, and accountability of equipment and supplies.

    Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper identification, marking, cataloging, and tracking of equipment and materials.

    Conduct inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accountability and compliance with organizational procedures.

    Recommend process improvements, efficiencies, and corrective actions to enhance logistics operations and achieve program objectives.

    Coordinate the disposition, reutilization, transfer, and disposal of excess or obsolete equipment and materials through approved procedures and channels.

    Ensure compliance with applicable transportation, safety, security, and logistics regulations.

    Prepare reports, documentation, and status updates related to logistics activities and inventory management.

    Perform other duties and ad-hoc tasking within the scope of this position as assigned.

    Position may require travel. Travel may include local travel, as well as Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).

    Ability and willingness to travel as required to support requirements.

    Required Qualifications

    Possess a valid U.S. Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

    Demonstrated experience supporting the client's mission areas, lines of effort, operational capabilities, and strategic objectives.

    Experience managing inventory, equipment accountability, warehousing, transportation, shipping, and receiving activities.

    Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.

    Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    Government security clearances and access credentials, as applicable.

    Proficiency with inventory management systems, logistics tracking tools, and standard Microsoft Office applications.

    Education (desired)

    Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a related field such as:

    Homeland Security

    Military Studies

    Emergency Management

    Public Administration

    Engineering or related discipline

    Or, similar degree

    Security Clearance

    Active Top Secret (TS/Poly) required depending on contract requirements

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience supporting U.S. Government, Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or federal law enforcement logistics operations.

    Knowledge of hazardous material handling, transportation regulations, and property accountability procedures.

    Experience supporting domestic and international logistics operations.

    Familiarity with government procurement, shipping, and supply chain management processes.
