The Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for owning and optimizing operational capability, with primary accountability for supply chain management, organizational effectiveness, and process excellence. This role requires strong business acumen, decisive leadership, and the ability to design and scale systems that support growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain Ownership
Full ownership of the supply chain, including purchasing, inventory management, vendor relationships, and material planning
Develop and execute purchasing strategies that balance cost, availability, quality, and lead time
Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships while driving accountability and performance
Implement inventory controls to improve accuracy, turnover, and working capital efficiency
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that could impact operations or customers
Operational & Organizational Optimization
Evaluate and improve organizational structure, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, reporting lines, and decision authority
Design, document, and refine processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability
Eliminate operational bottlenecks and redundancies through thoughtful system and workflow design
Drive cross-functional alignment between operations, sales, service, and leadership
Leadership & People Management
Lead, coach, and hold teams accountable with clarity, fairness, and consistency
Establish performance expectations and operational metrics that support company goals
Build a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and operational discipline
Serve as a trusted leader who can make difficult decisions when needed
Business & Financial Acumen
Apply strong business judgment to operational decisions, understanding margin, cash flow, and cost implications
Support budgeting and forecasting related to inventory, purchasing, and operational expenses
Identify opportunities to improve profitability through smarter operational execution
Continuous Improvement
Apply Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and improve flow
Lead improvement initiatives that deliver measurable operational and financial results
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in operations management with direct supply chain responsibility
Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and vendor negotiation
Demonstrated ability to design and improve organizational structures and processes
High level of business acumen with the ability to connect operations to financial outcomes
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, align, and drive accountability
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in industrial, technical, or equipment-based businesses
Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement training or certification
Experience scaling operations in a growing organization
