    Full-time | Nights & Partial Weekend | On-Site

    Compensation: $90,000–$100,000 +10% bonus

    About the Role

    A leading regional foodservice distribution company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee overnight warehouse and distribution operations at its multi-temperature facility in Hyattsville, MD.

    This hands-on leadership role is ideal for an operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. You’ll manage end-to-end warehouse activities—ensuring smooth shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and food safety compliance—while driving continuous improvement across all operational metrics.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage third-shift warehouse operations, ensuring on-time, accurate order fulfillment across ambient, refrigerated, and frozen zones
    • Maintain compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, FSMA) and warehouse best practices.
    • Monitor and improve KPIs in areas of safety, productivity, labor efficiency, and quality control.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including transportation, procurement, sales, HR, and accounting.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
    • Support organizational growth through strong team development and process optimization.

      Qualifications

      Required

      • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse or distribution operations.
      • Experience in foodservice or wholesale distribution, including multi-temperature environments.
      • In-depth understanding of inventory systems, quality control, food safety regulations, and labor management.
      • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in 24/7 operations.

      Preferred

      • Experience launching new facilities or building operational teams from the ground up.
      • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
      • Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems and warehouse automation tools.
      • Demonstrated success managing operations through growth and transition phases.

      Education

      • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

      • Preferred: Advanced degree or professional certifications (Six Sigma, PMP, CPIM).
