We are actively seeking am Operations Manager for the Oil and Gas division at Continental Drilling & Service, a Synergen company located in Shreveport, Louisiana that would be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing day-to-day operations. They must maintain communication with the President and report any issues and recommend corrective actions.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Build and maintain a database of Standard Operating Procedures.
Visit job sites to oversee operations, implement and monitor SOPs.
Attend pre-construction meetings with the Account Managers and report on additional opportunities.
Work directly with Project Managers to implement new processes, schedule day-to-day operations, plan future operations, and communicate with clients.
Ensure crews have the tools and critical spares they need for the job.
Maintain a clear and current understanding of the project level economics.
Work with Safety Department to ensure all employees are up to date on training and JSAs are completed for every job.
Monitor the project status and confirm billables are uploaded/approved daily.
Ensure all employees conform to all DOT rules and regulations.
Utilize technology software to monitor schedules and maximize efficiency.
Utilize technology software and the Asset Team to schedule equipment services, maintain inventory of critical spares, and maximize efficiency of all equipment.
Work directly with managers to prioritize projects, gather appropriate data, and ensure all goals are met.
Ensure all purchases have purchase orders.
Calculate project profitability and push operation efficiency.
Oversee operations division of proprietary invoice tracking software and hold managers accountable for inputting data (drilling logs, reports, JSAs, etc.).
A qualified applicant must posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
5+ years in a management position
High school diploma (higher education preferred)
Exceptional organizational skills
Experience with Microsoft Office
Troubleshooting abilities
