    Position Summary: Operations Manager

    Location: Washington, DC

    Overview:
    This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, day-to-day functioning of a major law office in DC while also supporting broader operational needs in another key office. The position focuses on creating an efficient, welcoming, and high-standard environment for attorneys and staff, partnering closely with leadership on budgeting, facilities, and administrative initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage all aspects of daily office operations, including facilities, mailroom, hospitality, and supplies

    • Oversee and mentor a team of office services professionals and front desk staff, providing clear guidance and regular feedback

    • Act as the main point of contact for property management and external vendors, maintaining strong relationships to support office needs

    • Collaborate with leadership on budget planning, expense monitoring, and broader administrative projects

    • Help coordinate in-office and client events, ensuring smooth execution and an excellent guest experience

    • Support a positive, collaborative office culture and act as a go-to resource for staff and attorneys

    • Assist with onboarding new team members and ensure office readiness and support coverage

    • Work closely with HR on recruiting efforts, employee relations, and policy adherence

    What You’ll Need:

    • At least 6 years of experience managing office operations in a law firm or professional services setting

    • A polished, professional, and confident approach, with a strong focus on client service

    • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing and developing a team

    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with a range of personalities and practice groups

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office management tools

    • Openness to occasional travel to another office as needed
