Job Summary:
The Operations Manager/Administrative Support position is shared between the Missouri Mid-South Conference (MMSC), as primary employer, and Eden Seminary, through a contract between the two organizations. The Operations Manager of MMSC, in conversation with the Conference Minister, will provide oversight and direction for all administrative functions for the Conference. The Operations Manager serves as the primary point of contact for a significant majority of Conference operational activity. Operations Manager activity will be approximately 30 hours/week. Additionally, this position provides Administrative Support to the Director of Facilities at Eden Seminary, for approximately 10 hours/week.
Operations Manager Essential Functions (30 hours/week)
· Ensure correct operation and day-to-day administration of the MMSC main office, including financial and operational administration, human resource matters, and office management – including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, IT needs, vendor relationships, etc.
· Provide oversight and support of office functions at outdoor ministry sites, in coordination with appropriate staff.
· Oversee tenant relationship with Eden Seminary for all needs related to physical office space.
· Perform general front-desk activities such as answering phones, processing correspondence, ensuring a hospitable environment.
· Serve as primary liaison to bookkeeper, tax consultant, and other financial service providers.
· Ensure completion of human resources functions such as maintenance of staff files, onboarding of new employees, verification of hourly employees’ time reporting, coordination of compensation and benefits plans, etc.
· Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations, as well as Conference policies.
· Set up event registration systems and other administrative support of Conference events as needed.
· Provide staff support to Finance Committee, including assistance for annual budget development and monitoring, and monthly reporting.
· Provide staff support to the Conference Annual Gathering (CAG) Planning Team as needed.
· Provide staff support to Board of Directors and Executive Committee as needed.
· Collaborate with MMSC staff to ensure successful and timely completion of projects.
· Prepare and convene monthly All-Staff meetings.
· Meet with the Conference Minister on a regular basis to coordinate Conference schedule and projects.
· Supervise Office Support Assistant.
· Other duties as assigned.
Administrative Support Essential Functions (10 hours/week)
· Filing leases and other tenant paperwork
· Answering phone calls and emails regarding tenant-related requests
· Coordinating management of requests with Director of Facilities
· Other duties as assigned
