    The IT Operations Specialist II helps to ensure the stability, efficiency, and security of an organization's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the deployment and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions, enforce best practices, and support business continuity.

    Job Summary

    As an IT Operations Specialist I, you will play a vital role in monitoring and operating server computer systems. You will be responsible for managing batch processing to ensure quality output to customers and users. Become a part of our dynamic team that is dedicated to helping one another.

    Responsibilities

    Train on the operation, monitoring, and controlling of mainframe, midrange, and server computer systems, including all related printing equipment, and reporting any problems that arise to the shift supervisor.

    Obtain a working knowledge of systems that process on the shift, balancing of processed output, and distribution of printed reports.

    Monitor mainframe, midrange, and server systems via remote terminal(s) under the supervision of the shift supervisor or senior operations specialist.

    Obtain a basic understanding of console commands, operating system(s), 3rd party software and Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel functions.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma required.

    A technical degree is desired, but not required.

    Reliable, dependable, and have a positive attitude.

    Excellent communication skills.

    Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds.
