  • Responsibilities

    The Ingredion Sustainability Team is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic college student to join the organization for an internship for the summer (with potential extension into the school year). In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with various members of our Global Operations Team to facilitate, provide support and guidance to achieve and impact in the HR Goals of each function. We are looking for someone with a great understanding of sustainability, focus result, data analysis who has a strong initiative to improve status-quo and incorporate change in a dynamic and agile work environment.

    AS AN OPERATIONS SUSTAINABILITY INTERN, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Participate in our annual CDP disclosure cycle be assisting and coordinating information collection, and data review process

    • Track and analyze monthly sustainability KPI’s for Global Operations & follow-up on any gaps in data collection.

    • Work with the transition team which will be migrating global sustainability data into a new database

    • Lead targeted projects as required focusing on environmental sustainability

    • The Corporate Talent Intern position is well-suited for you if you:

    • Are follow up from start to finish. Organize and ability to prioritize workloads.

    • Are a creative problem solver and critical thinking.

    • Are technically proficient and utilize technology: PBI and Excel in efficient ways

    • Have outstanding attitude service and focus results.

    • Are a self-starter.

    QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

    • Progress towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Sustainability, Engineering or Environmental Science with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred

    • Ability to work 40 hrs. per week during the summer internship term

    • If extended, the ability to work part-time hrs. per week during the school year

    • Strong business insight and continuous improvement skills

    • General knowledge of Microsoft Office

    • Outstanding attention to detail with verbal and written communication skills

    • Preferable in-person (Westchester, IL) for the summer

    • If extended, working remotely over the school year

    • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.

    • Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
