    Operations and Event Support Intern - PAID

    ABOUT: The Northeast Charter Schools Network (NECSN) serves as the network organization supporting the Connecticut Charter Schools Association (CTCSA) and the New York Charter Schools Association (NYCSA).

    POSITION: We're hiring a part-time Operations and Event Support Intern to join our team this summer, reporting to the Senior Director of Operations. This is a Fall internship, with the possibility of being asked to continue in Spring and/or convert to full-time work.

    SALARY: $20–$25/hour for 15-20 hours per week.

    LOCATION: Remote, with a strong preference for candidates who live in New York State.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Internship work will include project and ongoing workstreams such as the following.

    • **Event Planning & Support: **Support year-round event planning work including logistics for large events such as our 500-person New York Charter Schools Conference, as well as smaller statewide and regional gatherings.
    • Operations and School Support: Support management of our school-facing Resource Center, outgoing communications, member-facing webinars, and our contacts management system.

    Qualifications

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, or a recent graduate (Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or current grad student preferred).
    • School project or work experience in the areas of Event Planning, Organizational Operational Support, Business Administration, or a similar area.
    • Resourceful problem-solver who's not afraid to dive into tech challenges.
    • Organized, adaptable, and able to work with small and diverse teams.
    • Passionate about charter schools, education, and making an impact.
    • Location in New York State is preferred, but not necessarily required.
