Role Overview
Xstrahl is seeking an experienced Operations & Logistics Lead with deep expertise in logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain operations. The primary focus of this role is overseeing logistics and warehouse functions; while a working understanding of purchasing activities is valued, it is not the core requirement. This is a hands-on leadership role without direct reports; the ideal candidate operates with a proactive, managerial mindset, takes autonomous initiative, and is equally skilled at cross-functional collaboration as they are at technical execution. The Lead will be a critical partner to Customer Success, Finance, R&D, and UK Manufacturing teams, and must communicate proactively and clearly across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement
- Support purchasing activities for R&D, service, and product needs in the US, with a working understanding of procurement processes; deep purchasing expertise is not required, but familiarity with end-to-end purchasing workflows is a plus.
- Partner with Finance to ensure documentation, approvals, and compliance are maintained before purchases are executed.
- Release and manage purchase orders to vendors and UK Manufacturing on time.
- Coordinate with Customer Success to track and reconcile purchases made for service activities.
Operations & Inventory Management
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities tied to production, inventory, and supply chain management.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct cycles on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Maintain stock accuracy and tracking within the ERP system (SAP preferred).
- Ensure all standard processes are followed, and documentation is completed with high accuracy.
- Proactively manage parts availability for sales and service across all product lines (Medical and Life Sciences).
- Drive continuous improvement in inventory management frameworks, ensuring cross-departmental accountability.
- Establish and maintain mechanisms to track and enforce minimum stock levels.
Sales-to-Production Coordination
- Ensure accuracy of quotes and sales orders with respect to product specifications and production schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of communication between vendors, UK Manufacturing, and the Customer Success team on production status and sales order timelines.
- Collaborate with the R&D Project Manager on special request accessories to ensure delivery aligns with customer specifications.
Shipping, Receiving & Logistics
- Manage global shipping of parts and products, ensuring documentation accuracy, customs compliance, and timely tracking updates.
- Partner with shipping companies to resolve customs clearance issues proactively.
- Follow receiving processes to accurately receive parts into inventory and update records promptly.
- Coordinate urgent shipments to local FedEx or UPS facilities as needed.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure that NCR (Non-Conformance Report) and SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) processes are followed for product defects from vendors.
- Maintain the availability of parts for field corrections across all US product lines and globally for Life Sciences products.
- Champion quality system best practices and drive implementation of improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum: High School diploma or GED; some college preferred. 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, and/or supply chain operations in a manufacturing or technical environment; some exposure to procurement or operations is beneficial.
- SAP or equivalent ERP system experience required.
- Demonstrated expertise in logistics, warehouse management, and inventory control; experience in procurement is a plus, but not the primary focus of this role.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and drive projects to completion without close supervision.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to interface professionally with internal teams, vendors, and international counterparts.
- Experience introducing new processes, procedures, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Must be local to the Suwanee, GA Metro Atlanta area. This is a fully on-site role requiring punctual, consistent attendance 5 days per week.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role operates in both a climate-controlled office and a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. The employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk as necessary; may be required to sit at a computer for 8 or more hours per day; and must be able to occasionally lift 45–55 pounds.
