Accounting Manager at Operators Only
ABOUT OPERATORS ONLY:
Operators Only is a new entity formed by the merger of several successful cannabis retail operators in California and is being led by several cannabis veterans with a combined 50+ years in the industry: Salwa Ibrahim, Andrey Smykov, Hayk Serobyan, Edwin Movagharian and Sabas Carrillo. The entities include 3HHG (Sacramento), Cookies Oakland, and Cookies Maywood—the 2nd highest grossing Cookies store. Operators Only will initially have a total of nine stores across California, with more growth after the first year. All retail stores are branded Cookies or Lemonnade.
This is a unique opportunity to join and assist in building a world class operating team under the direction of experienced operators and corporate leaders with a very distinct brand and company vision.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Accounting Manager is a core leader within our Finance Team and will work with our Controller and CFO to engage in all financial aspects of our organization, with a keen attention to detail and fiscal health.
This role will be responsible for developing procedures to fully manage and account for at both the unit and corporate levels:
Revenue and Cash Receipts
Banking
Purchases
Employee Costs
Inventory
Acquisitions / Purchase Accounting
Cultivation
Debt Equity
Additional Duties include:
Monthly closing
Tax Planning
Preparation of monthly financial statement package
Analysis of financial results and operational performance
Support for quarterly and annual audits and reviews
Support public filings and investor information
Management of certain members of the accounting staff
Implementation of systems to automate processes and strengthen internal controls
This role is primarily REMOTE. Although the operations team is statewide in California, the finance team is located in SOCAL, and would benefit from in person meetings when needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 10 years experience in accounting and finance.
Experience implementing and utilizing financial management systems.
Excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport and trust with all levels of organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication and team management skills.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel.
Enjoys working in an agile, fast-paced, team environment.
Cannabis Experience is not required, but appreciated.
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
Competitive annual salary range of $95,000 - $105,000
