-Washington’s premier eye care practice, King LASIK/ K2 Vision is seeking a results-driven and reliable part time Ophthalmic Technician position in Lynwood, WA.
Previous eye care experience is an asset; we are willing to provide full training.
6 month patient care experience in any type of healthcare setting is required.
Part-time (3 days a week).
Working one Saturday and one Sunday a month is needed in our Tukwila, WA location.

Depending on experience, starting wage is between $25-27/hour.
Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, professionalism, and active listening.
Adapt well to often-changing environment, manage personal stress.
Team-oriented and collaborative, demonstrate a willingness to learn and also coach others.
Experience with a number of diagnostic tools and tests, including topography, refraction, slit lamp examination, etc.
Support in providing technician duties for laser vision correction and refractive lens exchange.
Familiar with computers and with an ability to learn new software, entry-level experience with MS Office.
Patience, approachability, and calm demeanor.
Ability to manage patient expectations and concerns.
On occasion, evening or weekend work is required.
Ophthalmic Technician Job Duties:
Provide superior customer service and patient care.
Be accountable for the quality and accuracy of all testing and charting completed.
Use appointment and patient management software, patient charts and other available tools to make accurate and clear notes regarding patient eye health.

Provide counseling and recommendations with respect to procedures and technology available at King LASIK.
Promote King LASIK technology appropriately.
Preference will be provided to applicants (we are willing to train) who have one or more of the following:

A King LASIK/ K2 Vision Technician is an eye care professional who must assess and counsel preoperative and postoperative King LASIK patients with 100% accuracy and judgment, under the supervision of an Optometrist and Ophthalmologist.
