Are you an experienced, detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician passionate about patient care and advancing eye health? Our busy and growing ophthalmology practice is seeking a dedicated and skilled technician to join our compassionate and professional team.
Responsibilities:
Conduct preliminary patient work-ups, including history taking, visual acuity testing, tonometry, refraction, and dilation.
Perform diagnostic testing, including OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and topography.
Assist ophthalmologists during exams and minor procedures.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system.
Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments as needed.
Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and post-visit care.
Requirements:
1–2 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician (COA/COT certification preferred but not required).
Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, instruments, and clinical procedures.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Familiarity with EMR systems (experience with [insert EMR system if applicable] is a plus).
