    Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician Location: Harleysville PA Employment Type: Full-Time // Part-Time

Our team-oriented environment values integrity, professionalism, and personalized patient service. We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Ophthalmic Technician and Scribe to join our growing team.

    Position Summary: As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will work closely with our optometrists to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and enjoys working in a patient-focused environment. Prior experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Greet and prepare patients for exams in a professional and friendly manner

    Accurately record patient histories, medications, and visual complaints

    Perform pre-testing and diagnostic procedures (e.g., auto-refraction, tonometry, OCT, visual fields, retinal imaging)

    Assist the doctor with patient flow and clinical documentation

    Educate patients on contact lens care and eyewear options

    Maintain exam rooms and equipment in clean and working condition

    Ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience as an ophthalmic or optometric technician is a plus, but not required

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

    Computer proficiency; experience with EHR systems is a plus

    A team-player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
