    We are currently seeking an Ophthalmic testing technician to join our team full time Monday through Friday clinics (no nights no weekends). We are dedicated to excellence in patient care and serving our community. The ideal candidate can demonstrate an understanding of Ophthalmic testing competencies and apply them in a fast-paced environment.

    ABOUT THE ROLE Your role will involve performing diagnostic testing such as lensometry, I-care tonometry. OCT, HVF, Topography, fundus photography, and A-scan IOL master.

    The Ophthalmic Testing Technician will report to the Practice manager. In this role, you will assist where needed in the clinic with an emphasis on teamwork and productivity. Our company provides in-house training which allows ophthalmic testing technicians to increase their knowledge and skills and advance into an Ophthalmic Technician role.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Administers topical ophthalmic or oral medications as directed by physicians.

    Ability to perform diagnostic testing such as OCT, HVF, Topography, A-Scan IOL master, and fundus photography

    Documents complete and accurate chart notes

    Instruct patients about medications, tests, and procedures.

    Knowledge of patient flow

    Knowledge of instruments routinely used in office

    Assists with in-office procedures including informed consent.

    Responsible for care, maintenance, stocking, and set up of exam rooms.

    Ability to be cross-functional to assist the patient and the doctor in what is necessary for the best possible care.

    Maintains privacy and confidentiality.

    Requirements:

    · Highschool diploma or equivalent

    · 1 year performing ophthalmic testing in an optometric or ophthalmology practice

    · EHR experience

    · Basic computer skills

    Preferred but not required:

    Nextgen EHR experience

    Bilingual

    Certification through JCAHPO

    Compensation:

    Hourly range $20-$23
