Ophthalmologist. Columbia VA Medical Center. Full Time.

Location.
Columbia, South Carolina. Onsite at VA Medical Center.

Start Date.
June 1, 2026.

Pay.
• $160 to $200 per hour
• Overtime at 1.5x
• Holiday premium
• On call stipend

Schedule.
• Monday to Friday clinic hours
• Rotating on call. Nights, weekends, holidays
• 2,080 base hours per year

Role.
• Provide comprehensive ophthalmology care
• Glaucoma experience preferred
• Outpatient clinics and surgical coverage
• Consults, procedures, follow up, documentation in VA EHR
• Participate in call coverage with 15 minute phone response and 60 minute onsite response

Requirements.
• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
• Active unrestricted US medical license
• BLS and ACLS
• DEA
• Eligible for VA credentialing and privileging
