Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job, Opis Riverwood Center, Full-time Nights 11-7, Jacksonville, FL
POSITIONS WILL BE HOUSED OUT OF OUR OCONOMOWOC AND WEST ALLIS LOCATIONS FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER OF 2022 – BEGINNING JANUARY 4TH, 2022.
A residential care specialist intern plays a life changing role in the treatment of our patients. The intern assists in the oversite of residents’ care, programming and activities to meet physical and emotional needs. They collaborate in a multidisciplinary team-based environment to support residents in achieving their goals. They interact directly with our residents helping them develop new skills and move toward greater independence.
This internship is a dedicated program in partnership with our local universities and is only available to currently enrolled students in their junior or senior year. The internship will require a minimum of 20 hours per week. A minimum of a semester long commitment is required although longer may be available according to performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor the safety of the residents.
Monitor the safety of the environment.
Communicate with the program manager/director, physician and staff members related to resident.
Communicate with the residents in a respectful, caring, and encouraging manner to help maintain their dignity and well-being.
Be involved in education and knowledge of the various aspects of treatment approach to recovery and apply these principles to daily interaction with residents.
Adhere to the program schedule as compiled by the treatment team and report any deviations to the primary counseling staff and manager.
Interact with residents, family members, and significant others to reflect excellence in customer service, and maintaining appropriate therapeutic and professional boundaries.
Complete documentation related to residents within the medical record and daily treatment progress notes.
Assist residents to groups, activities and appointments.
Provide treatment services to residents.
Participate and aid in the identification of performance improvement projects for residential related issues.
Complete program-specific competencies and training requirements as developed by the program manager/director, clinical coordinator, and/or Talent Development.
