    Job Description

    Opportunity Stanislaus is seeking a Talent Development Program Manager to help with workforce development and research for key programs and recruiting for investor companies.     THE SCOPE OF WORK FOR THE EMPLOYEE WILL INCLUDE:

    • Administration of the Sector Strategy contract per Stanislaus County Workforce Development to understand workforce trends and career opportunities and growth paths.
    • Engagement with education and business partners to ensure alignment of key programs.
    • Conduct outreach and marketing activities for assigned programs including social media on key platforms.
    • Development of relationships with investors and public and private sector stakeholders
    • Conducting of surveys and analysis of results to identify educational skill gaps, business needs assessments, identify in-demand sectors and industries.
    • Organization of events including meetings for project partners with thought to attendance monitoring, time management, objective-specific agendas and overall purpose-driven outcomes
    • Conduct research on assigned topics impacting regional talent development.
    • Provide reports on programs as required by contracts with detailed records as backup for reports.
    • Perform recruitments for investor companies for a variety of positions across all industries with tasks including screening, advertising, frequent communication with hiring companies and occasional direct contact with jobseekers.
    • Assistance with proctoring of tests for jobseekers.

    The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task; be driven; be detail-oriented with an understanding of the importance of documenting activities. We are looking for a team player with the ability to think about both the big picture and the task at hand. In order to be successful you will need to be able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines. You will need to be a good writer and comfortable speaking with people at all levels of organizations. We love optimists with big ideas and value initiative and innovation.

    You should have:

    • At least two years of experience in human resources, preferably in recruiting
    • Two or more years of program management experience
    • Experience in Microsoft Office programs, online design programs such as Canva and social media platforms
    • Knowledge of the regional labor market and WIOA or Workforce Development Board is helpful but not necessary.

    • Frequent computer use at workstation up to two hours at a time.
