    Position Overview:

    The Ophthalmic Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our clinical team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting essential diagnostic tests, assisting with patient inquiries, and scheduling appointments efficiently. Seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and dependable individual who is committed to delivering compassionate care and is eager to learn and grow within the field of ophthalmology.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will perform a variety of tasks, including:

    • Conducting various tests such as Visual Acuity (VAs), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), IOL Master, Autorefraction, Auto Lensometry, Icare Tonometer, Visual Fields (VFs), and Topography.
    • Answering phones and providing excellent customer service to patients and their families.
    • Scheduling appointments efficiently and accurately to optimize patient flow.
    • Collaborating with team members while also being capable of working independently.
    • Traveling to other locations as required (within reason)

    Qualifications:

    • Friendly, detail-oriented, and dependable with a strong patient-centric mindset.
    • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.
    • Experience in ophthalmology is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.

    Schedule:

    • 8 hour shift
    • Monday to Friday
