Job Description

Our development team is searching for a person with experience designing and developing software who can help solve some of our most challenging engineering problems. The Full Stack JavaScript Engineer will play a critical role in developing web-based online health care solutions. The ideal candidate appreciates a good user experience and enjoys both designing and implementing user interfaces.

SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT, ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

·       Analysis, design, build and implementation of end to end solution delivery

·       Develop new software using NodeJS and AngularJS/X

·       Create clean, modern, testable and well-documented code

·       Collaborate with internal teams (Device Engineering, Software Engineering, and Product Management) to deliver products and features on-time and to specification

·       Evaluate processes, tools and approaches to potentially incorporate into how we develop products to ensure we are always learning and improving

·       Work under minimal supervision; will be provided with assignments and objectives and given wide latitude for independent judgment

·       Fluency in AngularJS/X, Typescript, JavaScript and CSS; C# a plus

·       Familiar with Agile and TDD development methodologies, experience writing front-end automated tests

Qualifications

TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU MUST POSSESS THE MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent

·       3+ years in AngularJS/X front-end development

·       3+ years of professional software development experience

·       2+ years Management consulting experience

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL ALSO HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

·       Experience with modern JavaScript build tools such as npm, grunt/gulp, webpack, angular-cli.

·       Experience with both AngularJS/X and Angular9

·       Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Mocha, Karma, Jasmine, etc.

·       Background with additional front-end development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3/SCSS/LESS

·       Experience with responsive design and frameworks and approaches: Material Design, Bootstrap 4, Flexbox, CSS Grid

·       Strong JavaScript/Typescript coding skills (object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, etc).

·       Full stack JavaScript experience: front-end, APIs/middleware, back-end leveraging JavaScript/TypeScript or other OO languages

·       Experience designing RESTful backend microservices using NodeJS / Express

·       Experience with MySQL and Relational Database Design

·       Excellent problem-solving skills

·       Proven experience in designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining large multi-tiered applications preferably in the federal government setting

·       Experience with git and common practices: git flow branch strategies, branching, merging, etc.

·       Familiarity with other frameworks such as React a plus

·       Passionate about FE development, current on emerging frameworks and practices

·       Experience with mentoring colleagues and/or interns
