    Job Description

    As part of UDX’s Digital and Technology team, the Optimization Analyst will play an essential role on the team responsible for enhancing and innovating the guest experience at Universal Studios Hollywood through the design and activation of experiments across multiple channels. This individual will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests to improve key performance metrics across our digital platforms. The Optimization Analyst will collaborate closely with marketing, product, development teams and vendors to identify areas of opportunity for testing and use data-driven insights to improve user experience, increase engagement, and drive revenue growth.

    Design of Experiments

    • Develop hypotheses and testing plans based on data-driven insights and industry best practices
    • Design and execute A/B/Multivariate tests across our digital platforms, including our website, mobile app, email and other outbound channels
    • Partner with technical, development teams to ensure activation is validated and aligns with test design.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in A/B testing and optimization.

    Optimization Analytics

    • Monitor test results and provide regular updates to stakeholders
    • Use statistical analysis to determine test significance and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
    • Inform test opportunities through the utilization of analytics tools that provide channel reporting, heuristic evaluations, heatmaps and session recordings.

    Optimization Strategy

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, channel leads and vendors to identify areas of opportunity for A/B testing
    • Ability to interpret and analyze data, draw meaningful insights, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization strategies.

    Communication and Collaboration

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group that includes specialists, management, and subject matter experts.
    • Ability to communicate in business terms with business leadership and technical terms with technical partners.
    • Seek opportunities to help other team members expand their knowledge and capabilities.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree is required - Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or related field
    • 2+ year marketing experience preferably in the travel, entertainment or retail industry.
    • Strong analytical, planning, and critical decision-making skills.
    • Excellent client service and problem-solving skills, able to identify and anticipate both opportunities and problems and drive them to resolution.
    • Knowledge of web/digital analytics and data analysis.
    • Ability to use analytics to make recommendations for channel, user experience and business improvements.
    • Understanding of optimization best practices, UX/UI principles, and digital marketing strategies.
    • Familiarity with marketing technologies, including Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems (CMS).
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week
