THIS POSITION IS REMOTE WITHIN THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AREA, AS CLIENT VISITS MAY BE REQUIRED WITHIN THIS AREA.  

HR Professionals at Optimum are responsible for managing the client relationship and providing strategic, professional HR guidance, as well as exceptional service, to assigned clients in the following areas:

• Employee Relations 
• Company Handbooks, including updates and implementation of new policies and procedures. 
• Employment Law Compliance
• Performance Management
• Corrective Action 
• Terminations
• Risk management/Workers Compensation
• Employee and Management Training (onsite if needed)
• Unemployment 
• Job Descriptions
• Hiring Best Practices
• Compensation Development
• Investigations
• Leaves of Absences
• Client Visits as requested

Requirements to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum of five years of high volume Human Resources Generalist experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• PHR/SHRM Certification a plus 
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Strong organization skills and ability to work within strict deadlines 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
• Strong team player

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
