The Workers' Compensation Claims Professional is responsible for processing claims in a way that complies with fair claims practices and applicable state regulations. The Workers' Compensation Claims Professional also provides WC assistance to clients, employees, and administrative staff in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Requirements

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:  

• Examine, process, calculate and pay claims
• Insures proper filing of any documentation and reports
• Comply with state laws, policy and company procedures
• Assist claimants, providers and clients with problems or questions regarding their claims and/or policies
• Enter codes and verify data for computer processing
• Prepare and print drafts for payment of claims and verify that payments have been made

Work Experience, Education and Skills

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• One year of experience
• Ability to be thorough
• Technical capacity
• Problem solving
