About the Practice Led by Dr. Bermel with executive leadership from CEO Jeff Bickhardt, Bermel Vision & Aesthetics provides total eye care with a strong emphasis on medical optometry. Our team specializes in ocular disease management, dry eye treatment, Gentle Molding (orthokeratology), PROKERA, surgical co-management, specialty contact lenses, and care for special populations.

Our practices are equipped with cutting-edge technology, including:

Autorefractors, corneal topography, and wavefront technology

Digital retinal imaging, OCT, pachymetry, and nerve fiber analyzers

Visual fields, frequency doubling technology, non-contact tonometry, and LipiView

Cloud-based EHR and practice management systems for seamless care

Patients enjoy a family-friendly experience with a full-service optical boutique featuring the latest eyewear styles and expert optician support.

The Opportunity We are hiring a part-time or full-time Optometrist who is passionate about delivering personalized, high-quality care. You will see approximately 20 patients per day while managing a wide range of ocular conditions in a collaborative setting. This role offers significant professional growth through mentorship with seasoned clinicians and the chance to implement new techniques and innovations.

Key Qualifications

Active Virginia Optometry license (or eligibility)

Strong clinical skills with a passion for medical optometry and patient education
