We need an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who knows 5-Axis CNC machining, and has specific strong knowledge with CNC mills (some lathe work is done too, but mostly milling). You’d be responsible for supervising and leading a team of 3 experienced programmers and machinists, and would be only two-steps down from the owner / founder. You don’t need to have been a manager previously, just have had some leadership or mentorship experience. These products are primarily used by the US Military, but the customer list is expanding. There are some core bread & butter parts that are in production to continue producing, optimize and support. However, this is a creative company with a focus on R&D and experimentation for new parts and products. This role would get to be a part of those efforts too, with helping prove out and launch new products (researching and testing production methods, new equipment, and new processes, analyzing new products and customer needs for manufacturability, etc.). Equipment is mostly Mazak now, but experience with other CNC brands will work.
Targeting a salary in the $90 – 100K area, but have flexibility for experienced people. Solid benefits, 401k, etc. Team works 40-45 hours per week, so work / life balance is respected. Permanent role.
