ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client seeks a highly qualified Associate to join their Labor & Employment and Education Teams in their Raleigh or Research Triangle Park, North Carolina office.

This role will focus on providing high-quality legal services to higher educational institutions in a variety of areas such as:

• Title IX
• Faculty Employment
• Student and Academic Affairs
• Athletics

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

• Conducting as well as advising internal investigations,
• Litigation
• Legal research
• Drafting policies
• Conducting training
• Counseling clients
• The role may include serving as an external investigator or hearing officer in Title IX matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years of experience in the area of employment law including conducting or advising on investigations
• Knows relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, court decisions, and legal interpretations related to employment. and students in higher educational institutions.
• Ideal candidates will have experience working with education clients on employment as well as other areas plus an ability to manage multiple client needs.
• A background in employment law, both litigation and counseling, is preferred.
• Candidates must be licensed, or eligible to be immediately licensed, in North Carolina

DETAILS

This position sits in Raleigh, NC, or RTP, NC. Salary starts at $205,000 with a reasonable hourly requirement of 1850.
