Role Overview
As an Oracle Apps DBA, you will manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle EBS environments across multiple instances. You will ensure stability, performance, and compliance while supporting integrations and critical business workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Administer Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 across DEV/TEST/PROD
Perform EBS patching and upgrades using ADOP (online patching)
Execute cloning, refreshes, and environment configuration management
Monitor and improve performance through SQL tuning and resource optimization
Manage backup and recovery via RMAN and support disaster recovery readiness
Troubleshoot and support: Concurrent Managers, Workflow Mailer, Forms & Reports, application tier services
Partner with development teams supporting RICEFW components and customizations
Support EDI and external system interfaces, ensuring high availability and performance
Diagnose and resolve production incidents, including outages and bottlenecks
Implement security, compliance, and audit controls aligned with regulated industry requirements
Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
Required Qualifications
5+ years as an Oracle Apps DBA supporting Oracle EBS environments
Strong experience with Oracle EBS R12.2, including ADOP
Oracle DBA expertise with 11g/12c/19c
Hands-on with RMAN, cloning/migrations, and performance tuning (AWR/ASH, SQL tuning)
Strong understanding of Oracle EBS architecture (apps tier + DB tier)
Experience supporting high transaction-volume production environments
Strong troubleshooting skills across complex system/performance issues
Experience in pharma/healthcare or regulated environments preferred
Exposure to EDI integrations (e.g., IBM Sterling) and O2C/supply chain workflows preferred
Knowledge of high availability and DR concepts; cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/Oracle Cloud) is a plus
