We’re expanding our surgical team and looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Oral Surgeon Assistant who can handle fast-paced clinical work and provide outstanding patient care. If you’re experienced, confident, and ready to support complex surgical procedures, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Assist the oral surgeon during all surgical procedures (extractions, bone grafts, implants, IV sedation cases, etc.)

Prepare, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and operatories

Set up surgical trays and ensure all materials are ready before procedures

Monitor patients pre-op, intra-op, and post-op

Take CBCT scans, periapical X-rays, and intraoral images

Maintain accurate treatment notes, documentation, and surgical logs

Review medical histories and flag contraindications for sedation or surgery

Provide pre-op and post-op instructions to patients

Coordinate lab cases, referrals, and follow-ups

Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards are strictly followed

Commute between two offices (Baltimore and Hyattsville). Parking reimbursed

Requirements

Dental assistant certification

Experience in oral surgery or complex extractions (minimum 1 year strongly preferred)

Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, and surgical workflows

X-ray certification

Ability to work under pressure and stay organized

Professional, dependable, team-oriented attitude

Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time (Monday–Friday; occasional Saturdays depending on office)
