About the Role:

NJ Oral & Facial Surgery is looking for a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery/Dental Assistant to join our team in Howell, and Monroe NJ! This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced oral surgeons in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your skills truly make a difference every day.

Responsibilities:

Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and facial surgeries

Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory

Take and process dental X-rays and CBCT scans as needed

Monitor and assist with patient sedation and post-operative care

Educate patients on pre- and post-operative instructions to ensure smooth recovery

Manage and document accurate patient records and treatment notes

Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and assist with ordering as needed

Requirements:

Prior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred

Familiarity with oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology

Dental radiography certification or X-ray license required or ability to obtain

CPR/BLS certification preferred

Strong chairside manner with a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
