About the Role:

New Jersey Center for Oral Surgery is looking for a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery Team Member – Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team in Caldwell, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced oral surgeons in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your skills truly make a difference every day.

Responsibilities:

Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and bone grafting

Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instrument trays

Monitor and support patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures

Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed

Document patient records, treatment notes, and post-operative instructions accurately

Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment per OSHA and infection control protocols

Educate patients on post-operative care and answer procedural questions

Requirements:

Prior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred

Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology

Current CPR/BLS certification required

Familiarity with dental radiography and X-ray certification required

Strong chairside manner with excellent patient communication skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment

Team-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused professional
