Staff Development Director for Skilled Nursing Facility
In this role, you're responsible for planning, organizing and delivering new hire orientation and in-service education in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, regulations that govern the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that employees are adequately trained in order to provide the highest degree of quality care.
Full time role, pay based on experience.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing direct care in a skilled nursing facility
Possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LVN/LPN in the state of California.
Certification in Staff Development
Experience in adult orientation, training and education
Experience in supervision
Understanding of Nursing practices in California long-term care regulations, guidelines, practices, procedures, terminology, staffing requirements and laws that govern the long-term care
Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures, including but not limited to those within the Compliance and Ethics program, Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and Federal False Claims Act.
Following Infection and Control policies and procedures
Partnering with Administrator and Director Of Nursing to meet daily staffing and PPD goals
Reviewing and creating daily staffing schedule
