As the Business Analyst I, you will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders to understand their Business/Technology needs and articulate the requirements that are to be addressed in delivering an effective solution. You will liaise with the Information Technology Management Team and the Business Partners, to ensure continued alignment to the IT strategy /Road map in place. The position is highly cross-functional in areas of business analysis, quality assurance, project management, and application support. WHAT YOU WILL DO
Gather, extract and interpret requirements from stakeholders acting as a middleman between development team and company leaders (using a variety of methods, processes and tools)
Foster a solid working relationship with business partners and IT colleagues to collaborate on prioritization of business needs and established action plans for completing approved initiatives
Translate business requirements into functional/Technical specifications for IT execution
Support test cases creation / execution
Assist (Project Manager) in tracking and reporting progress on projects within the team and to management, from start to finish
Where applicable implement, refine and improve structure and process and help to create quality standards and documentation
Aide in establishing and implementing short and long-range departmental priorities, goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact with local business units, franchise owners and area representative, IT Vendors and internal IT leaders and customer resources related to tracking and resolution of internal and external operational issues on a regular basis
Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for maintenance, redevelopment of existing systems or development of new technologies that fall under Business Intelligence portfolio
Ensure work/tasks assigned are completed on budget and with defined timeframes
Ensure that IT solutions incorporate defined training plans, systems documentation and support requirements
Manage key relationships with Operations, Marketing, and the fitness teams
May be required to work early morning, evening or even weekend shifts
May be required to work in a mobile capacity
ARE YOU QUALIFIED?Required:
Minimum 2 years’ related work experience – business analysis, product development, product ownership, project management, customer support
At least 1 year experience in the development of software applications from analysis through to deployment (SDLC), both in an agile and/or waterfall environment
Experience with interacting with business stakeholder to extract and document requirements/use cases/ Epics & Stories
Preferred:
Knowledge of Mindbody
Knowledge of Application program interfaces (API’s)
Experience with the fitness/health industry considered a plus
