Orangetheory Fitness is a trendsetting franchise fitness organization with 800 locations open in the US and Canada and 100 new fitness studios under development. We are currently seeking qualified trainers and coaches who can deliver a fantastic workout experience to our clients.
As an OTF Fitness Head Coach, you will be responsible for delivering scientifically predesigned workouts for up to 24-36 clients per session. This position requires a strong ability to coach and manage time, motivating multiple clients in a group setting. An OTF Coach must focus on a well rounded theory of fitness, including endurance, strength, and power, using the tools given to optimize the client’s experience and results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Overview:
Responsible for managing all aspects of the Orangetheory of staff using the Orangetheory business model
Meets with the SM on a weekly basis to review the prior week’s performance, as well as plan for the current week
Responsible for pulling multiple reports on a daily/weekly basis: 1st Visit, Last Visit, Attendance by Revenue
Responsible for taking a minimum of 2 classes a week to ensure coaches are following “BRAND” consistency
Responsible for double checking payroll on a bi-weekly basis for all coaches
Responsible that all equipment is properly working
Responsible for all “special” events that pertains to fitness; ex. Corporate classes, Dri-Tri,
Peak Performance, and VIP classes
Responsible for creating a positive, high energy, respectful Orangetheory studio
environment
Works with Regional Trainer and/or Fitness Educator to educate, train, and hire
Coaches a minimum of 8-15 Orangetheory classes per week
Conducts monthly fitness staff meetings and attends all relative, mandatory webinars
and other requested corporate meetings
Conducts ongoing coach evaluations, improvement plans, and workshops
Responsible for follow-up communication with new, current and former Orangetheory
studio members
Responsible for community outreach and studio outreach activities to grow the business
Responsible for building studio class attendance, retaining current membership and
achieving monthly revenue budgets
Responsible for Orangetheory class schedule – daily, weekly, and monthly
Maintains current, active employee files which include resume, CPR cards, fitness
certifications, disciplinary items, emergency contact information, I-9 form and more
Responsible for organization and cleanliness of the training floor, as well as other areas of the studio
Leads or assists Sales Associates with Orangetheory studio tours with new prospects as well as staying current with pricing options
Must be flexible and willing to work on weekends
Must be knowledgeable stay current on all current and new heart rate products that
Orangetheory offers in use for Orangetheory workouts
Recommended Job Qualifications:
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold a current fitness certification from an Orangetheory approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, AFFA, NFPT, NPTI, etc.
o International locations should contact the corporate headquarters for Continuing Education Credits and approved certification programs
Must invest 10 hours per year in continuing education programs, lectures, and workshops outside of the ORANGETHEORY curriculum
Must have current CPR/AED certification
3 years of professional experience teaching and/or managing in the fitness industry
Must understand heart rate focused training programs and the science that supports the Orangetheory workouts
Excellent communications and customer service
