    We are looking for a creative, hands-on, and strategic Social Media Manager to join our growing Marketing Team at West Coast Fitness. As the head of all social media, you will be creating and curating content for multiple Orangetheory Fitness regional and specific studio accounts across key social networks. The Social Media Manager will “own” one of the most important marketing and communication channels in our company. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and ability to inspire our internal teams, our members, and our potential customers.

We want you and the content you and our team will create to be better than every other agency or in house social media marketer across the entire Orangetheory network of studios and across the boutique fitness space more widely.

    This role will report directly to the SVP of Marketing and will be a part of a “flat” organized marketing team structure where all team members wear multiple hats from time to time. The position will be based in our Brentwood HQ but requires being out in the field in our studios often as well as travel to studios outside of Los Angeles from time to time.

    Core Responsibilities

    Lead the development and execution of all organic social media strategy and content across all our Orangetheory studios

    Your main job will be to create, curate, engage and lead

    Create: Create, schedule, and post amazing content across multiple social media accounts and channels that inspires, educates, and connects our community

    Curate: Effectively work with our studio teams, coaches and Orangetheory social media brand teams to ask for and then curate the best local and USG content to feature in our social media channels

    Engage: Create content that engages our audience and then engage and respond to them when appropriate on our channels and across social media

    Lead: Inspire our studio teams to create content while providing examples and encouragement. You will also lead the selection of our social media tools and platforms and build out a small content focused regional marketing team.

    Work with SVP of Marketing, Orangetheory Brand marketing teams, and local and regional studio leadership to own the social media campaign calendar across multiple regions that is aligned with our overall marketing communication calendar and brand and company plans.

    Oversee and support growth objectives by maintaining a high level of community engagement on all core social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

    Remain up-to-date on social trends and marketing strategies on rising platforms such as Discord, Reels, Twitch, Reddit and more.

    Work closely with paid social media channel owners for organic/paid optimization

    Develop compelling copy, images, video, and most importantly stories and ensure all content is aligned with brand guidelines and messaging

    Analyze performance, identify trends and insights, and report on what is working and what is not working in social media for our community. Track content performance and report monthly and as needed on performance and insights applicable to our social strategy and community

    Build and maintain relationships with partners, influencers, media, and other brands to create social media campaigns that drive marketing and business goals.

    Act as a critical thought partner to the SVP of Marketing and other senior leaders across the organization. We want you to be “the smartest person in the room” when it comes to social media and what is happening on our community but be able to break down the details for the team.

    Conduct frequent analysis of competitor programs and emerging trends informing our marketing strategies.

    Skills and Qualifications

    You have a passion and track record for customer-centric and community centric social media marketing in the health and fitness industry who believes in the important role of storytelling (read Donald Miller’s Building a Storybrand) and how to make in impact through a social moment

    4+ years hands on content creation across core social media platforms of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn. Familiar with Twitter and Pinterest but they are not core channels for us.

    2+ years managing at least 5 different social media accounts ideally in a multi-location or multi-brand capacity.

    Deep knowledge of social media channels, trends, social media KPIS and culture of existing and emerging platforms.

    Avid user of social media channels and solid understanding of current feature set; an appetite for being the first to new product features.

    Strong creative instincts- ability to write copy, an eye for aesthetics and branding.

    Adobe Suite, Lightroom, various Instagram filter tools knowledge to create high quality photo/video capabilities are a major plus.

    Next level attention to detail, planning, and organization

    Able to work nights and weekends, as needed.

    Effective and experienced communication and collaboration skills with colleagues in and outside the marketing team

    Demonstrate an ability to work independently, think critically, and execute well in a fast-paced environment
