Order Clerk (Apparel/Promotional Products)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Order Clerk to support our order management and inventory processes in a fast-paced promotional products environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate purchasing, timely order follow-up, and clear communication across internal teams and vendors.
Essential Job Functions
Place garment and product orders through vendor systems, email, and phone
Monitor order status, track backorders, and follow up with vendors to support on-time delivery
Identify and resolve order discrepancies, including shipping issues and inventory shortages
Process returns and vendor credits in accordance with company procedures
Maintain accurate inventory records for company-owned and customer-owned goods using Excel or similar systems
Communicate order status updates, delays, or issues to internal team members
Provide phone support and assist with general order-related inquiries
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in order processing, inventory, or administrative support
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or similar spreadsheet software) and word processing programs
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured work environment
Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff and external vendors
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the apparel, promotional products, or related industry
Experience working with inventory tracking or order management systems
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primarily office-based work in a team environment
Regular use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment
May require sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting of boxes up to 25 lbs.
