Orientation & Mobility Specialist | Part-Time
Location: Cincinnati, OH 45211 School Year: 2026–2027 Schedule: Approximately 1 Day per Week Caseload: 6 Students Pay rate: $48–$55/hour (based on experience)
EDU-AIDS is seeking a qualified Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist to provide part-time services for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a small caseload of students, helping them develop the orientation and mobility skills needed to safely and confidently access their school and community environments.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct orientation and mobility evaluations to determine students' functional travel needs.
Develop and implement individualized Orientation & Mobility goals as part of students' IEPs.
Provide direct instruction in safe travel techniques, environmental awareness, and independent mobility skills.
Teach students to effectively use mobility aids and adaptive equipment when appropriate.
Collaborate with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs), special education staff, families, and related service providers.
Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding orientation and mobility services.
Maintain accurate service logs, progress reports, and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
Qualifications
Active Ohio Orientation & Mobility Specialist certification.
Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) Pupil Services License/Certificate for Orientation & Mobility Specialist
Previous experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired in educational settings is preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently while supporting a multidisciplinary educational team.
