    The Company :

King Energy is a leader in rooftop solar and battery storage, serving commercial and industrial properties across the United States.

Powered by King Energy's OneBill software platform and backed by significant venture capital and project financing investment, we deploy solar on commercial rooftops and provide the energy generated to both local tenants and members of the broader community.

Our goal is to generate financial value for commercial property owners, their tenants, and the public at large by engaging in rooftop leases that increase a property's net operating income and by saving tenants and local residents money on their energy bills.

King Energy solar programs are deployed at no cost to property owners or their tenants, generating financial, social and environmental benefits to the property and to the community.

    The Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Originations Analyst to join our Finance team and play a critical role in the pre-financing stage of our solar projects. In this role, you will focus on the lifecycle of a project from site control and lease signing through to Notice to Proceed (NTP) and Permission to Operate (PTO). You will work closely with our Sales team to build financial models using our BOLT pricing model, ensuring that initial proposals are structured for rapid financing.

Your primary objective is to ensure that leases are "finance-ready" when they reach the next stage of the pipeline. You will proactively identify and mitigate potential drags on lease negotiations that could impact the financing timeline. This role requires a blend of financial modeling, internal collaboration, and a keen understanding of how project-level details influence broader financial viability.

    You Are A:

    • Financial professional with 1 to 2 years of experience in financial transactions or project-based consulting rather than traditional FP&A
    • Excel expert with the ability to build and manipulate complex financial models to support sales proposals and project financing
    • Independent worker with the grit to navigate complex lease negotiations and drive projects toward completion
    • Effective communicator who can partner with internal sales teams and external stakeholders to articulate financial requirements
    • Strategic analyst who can spot potential obstacles in lease structures and position projects for quick financing

    You Get Bonus Points For:

    • Proven project management experience with the ability to track assets from site control through to post-PTO performance
    • Direct experience in the energy sector or a strong understanding of renewable energy financial drivers
    • Research-oriented mindset with a track record of investigating and resolving project-level financial discrepancies
    • Experience handling complex documentation or transaction cycles within a fast-paced environment
    • Understanding of how specific lease terms impact the long-term bankability of distributed energy resources

    Compensation And Benefits:

    • Competitive base salary with variable incentives & stock options
    • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, etc.)
    • Unlimited PTO
    • Collaborative, fast-paced corporate culture
    • 9/80 work schedule, meaning 9 hour days & off every other friday
