    Origins Behavioral Healthcare is made up of a group of premier Addiction Treatment centers in the US for the treatment of co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health disorders. Our board-certified Medical Director and Staff Psychiatrist are respected by their peers as authorities on Substance Used Disorder and all types of mental health problems such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders.

    We are bringing our medical team in-house to our residential treatment facilities on South Padre Island in south Texas with two Advanced Practice Providers. We’d love for you to consider joining our team!

    Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, allinpatient, manage own call schedule

    Ideal Candidate

    Origins Behavioral HealthCare is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (PMH-APRN) or Physician Assistant with Mental Health experience in Addiction, Men and/or Women’s Mental Health Disorders and/or Eating Disorders

    Position Responsibility

    Conducts comprehensive psychiatric and medical assessments

    Conducts follow-up, Triage, prescribing of medications, lab ordering

    Examines clients to obtain information about physical and/or mental health

    Assists with developing comprehensive treatment plans of care

    Recommends appropriate therapies and counsel mental health clients

    Assists the Clinical Team, Medical Director and Staff Psychiatrist with the clinical management of clients as a member of the Medical treatment team.

    Addictions Experience Required

    Experience:

    PMH-APRN Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner: 1 year (Required)

    Behavioral Health/Addiction: 2 years (Required)

    License:

    Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) (Required) in Texas

    Schedule

    10 hours per week

    Sunday - 6 hours

    Monday - 4 hours
