    **This is a contract to permanent role**

    There will be a 6-month trial period at a rate of up to $22 per hour. After the 6-month trial period, if both sides agree, the role will transition to a W2 role with full benefits.

    Entry Level Networking Engineer

    We are looking for an entry level Junior Network Engineer to provide hands and eyes support to implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and support all aspect of the network infrastructure on our customer’s site.

    Duties/Responsibilities

    • Monitor and maintain the existing network to include replacing failed hardware as needed.
    • Configure and install replacement hardware using a template (mostly Cisco switches).
    • Monitor, update, and resolve daily tickets in a customer ticketing system based on Remedy software.
    • Perform daily moves, adds, and changes.
    • Perform all aspects of network administration, including documentation of hardware components.
    • Assist project team with completion of various ongoing project tasks.
    • Performing Hands and Feet support for Remote Network Management team.

    Education & Experience Required

    • A candidate aspiring to take their career further into the IT Data Center/Networking space
    • A good over knowledge of IT and IT operations
    • Experience of installing and removing network devices would be useful, but not mandatory
    • Certification in Network + would be beneficial but not mandatory Network+
    • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
    • Experience of working in a manufacturing / automotive would be advantageous, but not mandatory.

    • Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
    • Routine administrative skills.
    • Able to meet the physical requirements of the usual and customary methods of performing the job functions, including: a variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day; lifting of up to 50 pounds.

     

    Pay up to $22 per hour based on experience
