We are currently seeking a Business Analytics Associate to support MSA’s Life Sciences Healthcare Data Management initiatives.
JOB SUMMARY: AT MSA LIFE SCIENCES, WE PROVIDE INNOVATIVE HIPAA-COMPLIANT HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS AND SERVICES. In this role, you will developing custom business analytics to answer client questions through the complex analysis of integrated customer provided and MSA sourced healthcare data sets. A successful candidate must have knowledge and experience with business analytics and statistical analysis along with an understanding of healthcare data sets. This is a hands-on position for the design and execution of healthcare business analytics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use statistical techniques create new client models, forecasts, reports and business analytics
- Participate in client meetings and act as point person in demonstrating the value proposition of analytics targeted at specific client/prospective business objectives
- Work with clients and prospects to define project requirements, define project analytics deliverables and write client/prospect proposals
- Develop and maintain business analytics and documentation to manipulate large healthcare datasets and conduct statistical analysis with minimal guidance
- Present analytical results to internal team members, and provide support during client presentations
- Assist the Healthcare Data Management team in sales efforts including preparing presentation materials and sample analytics
- Create artificial intelligence model prototypes using sample datasets for potential new product offerings
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Analytics, Business Analytics, Math, Statistics, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of related experience performing analytical problem solving within market research, data analytics, computer science, or related field. Must have experience with designing and creating Pharma/Specialty Pharma targeted analytics
- Knowledge and experience working with healthcare data sets including Rx Claims – NCPDP format, Medical Claims – EDI 837i and 837p, and EMR data sets
- Minimum of one year of experience performing data analytics using healthcare data sets
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and data management skills
- Proficient with statistical methods, models, and analytics
- Proficiency in data science analytics tool sets – SQL, R, Python, NumPy, Pandas
- Proficiency in data visualization tools – Power BI, Tableau, Qlik
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
