    Job Description

    Remote associate employment litigation attorney position. The employment law firm, Osman & Smay LLP, has an immediate opportunity for an associate attorney with five (5) + years of litigation experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for reciprocal admission to Kansas & Missouri bar associations. The successful candidate will work on litigation involving discrimination, retaliation, FMLA, unpaid wages, and/or breach of contract. Court and deposition experience required. Compensation based on experience and qualifications.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of litigation experience; preferably focused on employment practice;
    • Active license to practice law in Kansas & Missouri, or, eligible for reciprocity;
    • Excellent communication skills;
    • Strong analytical, research, writing, and organizational skills;
    • Exemplary time-management;
    • Excellent internet connectivity and quiet remote work environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Day one ability to handle existing litigation and prelitigation employment law cases including discrimination, wage/hour, and retaliation;
    • Client intake, communication, and management;
    • Document review;
    • Legal research;
    • Preparation of legal memoranda, motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery, correspondence;
    • Take and defend depositions.
