    Job Description

    Our defense technology partner is looking for a forward-leaning, intellectual leader in Cyber Security who possesses a detailed understanding of cyber security methodologies and thrives in a dynamic, team-focused environment. This role will support our noble cause of advancing warfighter capabilities with elegant, user-focused communications, networks, and software systems in several ways: engage customers, and the cyber community at large, to understand and track the current and future threat landscape, provide high level guidance in architecting solutions that protect critical network and communications systems from threats; ensuring our protocols align with the forefront of industry standards and guidelines, and overseeing the certification and accreditation process for complex DoD systems and projects.   This role will guide, and contribute to, the efforts of internal cyber personnel and project focused teams on engineering efforts for our secure communications network systems and hardware products ensuring that the right security protocols are planned at the outset and remain a priority in the development cycle.  A key function will be guiding DoD systems through the certification and accreditation process to achieve ATO/IATOs.  Extensive technical background is required, as well as experience overseeing large scale accreditation of systems. Ideal candidates will have DoD experience.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee and manage cyber security posture and protocols across all products and systems
    • Drive cyber-focused customer engagements
    • Translate customer project requirements to tech level and ensure cybersecurity objectives are met
    • Ensure proper controls are in place to protect our products and systems from threats in their operational and test environments
    • Develop and implement cybersecurity architectures and requirements
    • Maintain up to date with emerging cybersecurity industry trends and guidance
    • Implement controls to meet DoD standards for certification and accreditation
    • Ensure our team meets IAT requirements for interfacing with DoD systems and networks
    • Proactively develop cybersecurity roadmap for company infrastructure
    • Proactively develop cybersecurity roadmap for products and systems
    • Drive the secure configurations of our systems and products
    • Work with Project managers and teams to ensure that cybersecurity goals are aligned with system development and vice versa
    • Generate and review cybersecurity documentation and deliverables
    • Participate in and conduct Cyber Tabletops
    • Conduct white and black pen tests
    • Direct interface with contractors and vendors for cyber security development aspects
    • Direct interface with customer for system requirements and cybersecurity implementation
    • Focus on balance between operational needs and security to effectively accomplish mission

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

    • Advanced degree in Cyber Security (Masters preferred) or IT Management with equivalent experience in Cyber Security focus area
    • In depth understanding of Cyber Security threats and mitigations
    • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture Levels (EALs)
    • Extensive experience with Linux OS
    • CISSP, Sec+
    • Experience with DoD Certification and Accreditation process, submitting ATO/IATO packages
    • Participate in the system architectural design process with a focus on security
    • Understanding of compute/network system diagrams
    • Ability to contribute security parameters to system diagrams (ports/protocols, IA boundaries)
    • Drive the secure configurations of products and internal systems
    • Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
    • Experience DIACAP, eMASS, and implementing STIGs
    • Operational knowledge of ACAS for scanning both Windows and Linux systems
    • Ability and desire to obtain US Secret clearance
    • US Citizen

    DESIRED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting wired and wireless networks
    • In-depth experience with Linux and virtualized systems.
    • Experience with US Navy Communications Networks such as ADNS/ISNS/CANES
    • Knowledge of Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Systems (C4IR)
    • Current US SECRET Clearance
