    JOB RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

     

    Customer Service

    ·       Greet and engage all customers in conversation

    ·       Utilize an organic customer service approach to create an easy and inspiring shopping experience for every customer

    • Provide relevant and detailed product knowledge of all & Other Stories merchandise including but not limited to fabric types, washing instructions, garment fits etc.

    ·       Communicates with customers courteously and promptly in-person and via phone

    ·       Promote loss prevention and safety through customer service and established & Other Stories policies and procedures in partnership with store leadership team to guarantee employee and customer safety

    ·       Leads by example and coaches staff in the moment to & Other Stories customer service standards

     

    Operations

    • Ability to complete and lead the full garment processing cycle from unloading delivery to steaming per & Other Stories guidelines and best practices to maximize selling opportunities

    ·       Effectively schedules the staff according to the needs and restrictions of the business and adjusts hours as necessary to reach store and takt goals

    ·       Works with sales and cost plans, budgets and other available tools to make business decisions to ensure maximum profitability

    • Handles customer transactions and questions at the register and packages purchases according to & Other Stories standards in a courteous and friendly manner
    • Consistently oversees replenishment of all departments throughout the day to ensure full inventory on the shop floor
    • Upkeeps & Other Stories logistic standards and overall cleanliness of stockrooms and back stocked merchandise
    • Maintains & Other Stories shop floor standards by ensuring product care is met throughout the day
    • Executes reductions, transfers and campaign set ups according to & Other Stories guidelines

    ·       Adheres to & Other Stories values, policies and procedures as outlined in company handbook

     

    Commerciality

    • Takes action to maximize sales through joint operational and commercial focus
    • Develops team to ensure knowledge on all product, event, promotion, display guidelines and merchandise information
    • Ensures garment presentation, garment level and visual standards are presented according to & Other Stories expectations
    • Plans and coordinates all campaign set ups, activities and promotions together with the visual team and Store Manager

     

    Leadership

    ·       Organizes and distributes the work of team, sets priorities and keeps an overview of the tasks to be accomplished

    • Supports the team on the shop floor as needed, especially during peak selling times

    ·       Manages, recruits, on boards, trains and develops the team and keeps an overview of succession planning

    ·       Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws including approving time off requests, pay, location or title changes, conducting terminations, corrective actions and making employment decisions

    • Performs all administrative routines, including the opening and closing of the store, follows all company practices and procedures and works with timekeeping and scheduling system

    ·       Creates a positive and motivating team environment and maintains an overview of Employee Relations concerns in partnership with Store Manager

    • Assigned overall store responsibility in absence of Store Manager

    ·       Works as a team player with willingness and ability to readily respond to changing circumstances and expectations

    ·       Being straight forward and open minded including when receiving and sharing feedback

    • Ability to suspend employee based on discretion and approval from Store Manager, Area Sales Manager or Area HR if only manager on duty
    • Acts as a management witness, on behalf of & Other Stories, in employee discussions as needed

     

    FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

    ·       Assists Store Manager in establishing and overseeing sales and cost plans, budgets and variable costs for floor/concept; works with comparable sales to last year, sales to budget and future sales trends to maximize profitability

    ·       Accurate recording of sales and worked hour figures     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·       High School Graduate or equivalent 

    ·       Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

    ·       Preferably 2-3 years of retail management experience, including direct supervisory experience, or comparable management role experience

    ·       Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds

    ·       Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc.) for a short distance

    ·       Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool

    ·       Experience in administrating progressive discipline process and performance management

    ·       Basic computer skills, such as browser navigation, software interaction and data entry are needed

    ·       Open availability including evenings and weekends

    ·       Minimal travel required as necessary (i.e. Workshops)

     

     

    JOB STATUS:  Non-Exempt, Hourly
